Meridian Rove Notes is an independent travel journal. We plan trips with a spreadsheet open, walk the routes ourselves and write down what things actually cost — including the detours that were worth it and the ones that were not.
How we work
Every guide here is built from a trip someone on the team actually took. No paid placements, no copied listicles: prices get checked, opening hours get called, and when something changes we update the page instead of pretending it still holds.
What you will find here
City guides with walking routes, cost breakdowns for real budgets, and honest notes about which famous spots deserve the detour. If a page feels too rosy, tell us — we would rather fix it than keep it tidy.

How pages get updated
Every guide carries the season it was walked in. When a fare moves, a trail closes or a museum shifts its Monday hours, we edit the page that is already there and refresh its date instead of publishing a second, contradictory version. Pieces that still hold stay online untouched; pieces that do not say so in the first paragraph and point to the newer one.
What a first visit looks like
Most people arrive through one guide, usually one that answers a practical question: how long the walk takes, which bus still runs after nine, whether the detour is worth the extra hour. From there the site branches into the route notes and the cost breakdowns. Nothing here needs an account, an app or a newsletter signup to read.
